March 24, 2008 - Apple breaking out! Buy the remaining 50%
It looks like Apple has just broken past the resistance at $133. Last month it tried to break past $133 only to start going down. Now it looks like it might be headed higher. If you've been considering buying AAPL then right now is as good time as any.
Buy 50% in Apple
It looks like with the DOW jumping 400+ points, and Apple stock
jumping almost 7% -- it might be a good time to buy half of what
you plan on investing in this stock. So if you plan on purchasing 200 shares of AAPL then purchase only 100 for now.
Why only Half?
The stock itself looks good, and there is support but we won't
really know if it's AAPL is really headed higher until then $130. Late last month
it tried to go pass $130 but then came back down a little bit.
IF AAPL stocks breaks past $130 - $133 then we'll consider going in with
the remaining half.
Or if you're a more conservative trader then just wait until it goes
past $133, but by then it may well have jumped way past that low price.
AAPL - Apple Inc added to Watch List
It looks the Sprint did a mini bounce but not quite what I was
looking for so it's still on our Watch List.
We've also added a new Stock to the list. Apple, Inc. The stock
has reached a sixth month low and looks like a great stock to
add to the list.
My only concern is that it's a bit expensive at $130 per share and
we still don't know how much lower it will go. As always I'm
waiting for the second bounce which will let us know that there is
support for a price at that level.
Sprint Bounces
It looks like Sprint bounced back very nicely from $8 to almost $11. I'm still waiting on the second bounce so that we know if it's headed down or up. Stay tuned.
LESSON from S Trade: Sell If it goes less then 7-10%.
Actually this has been a long standing rule of mine, but still I decided to hold this stock. Results: NOT GOOD
Always follow your own rules.
News is not looking good for Sprint right now. With a new CEO in December and the recent announcement that they're laying off thousands of workers is not a good sign.
When will be buy back Sprint?
The chart pattern that we're looking for is a double bottom to know it's reached a bottom, and then a breakout higher then the double bottom to know that it's headed back up. But for now I'm just going to go through the basket and find some stocks that are doing better, while we let Sprint stabilize.
